Juan Pablo Martínez

Electromechanical Engineer (Universidad de Buenos Aires), Master in Railway Engineering (UBA).
Mr. Martínez is Professor at the Universidad Católica Argentina (UCA) and Universidad de la Marina Mercante, and is Former Director of the Railway Engineering graduate program at UBA. Juan Pablo is Member of the Institute of Transportation of the National Academy of Engineering of Argentina and Asociación Argentina de Carreteras.
In the public sector Mr. Martínez was Board Director at Subterráneos de Buenos Aires Sociedad del Estado, Director of the Railway Restructuring Unit, and Planning Manager at Ferrocarriles Argentinos. Previously, Juan Pablo had technical responsibilities at the Subsecretaría de Transporte of the national government, the Dirección Nacional de Vialidad (national highway administration) and the General San Martín railroad in Argentina.
Mr. Martinez participated in several studies and projects related to transport and railway reforms in Latin America in his 40+ years of experience. He is the author of numerous technical papers and opinion articles in national and international publications. He is coauthor of “Nueva Historia del Ferrocarril en la Argentina”, published by the Railway Museum Foundation (Board Member), and the book “Un Proyecto en Busca de su Justificación”, which reviews the history of the subway of Buenos Aires and focuses on the Line E.
Juan Pablo is frequent speaker and panelist at numerous seminars, conferences and technical meetings, national and international. Currently, Mr. Martínez is Director of Railroad projects at AC&A Group, developing projects both in Argentina and Uruguay.
